On Assignment: It’s deer hunter, it’s a garbage picker-upper…No, it’s a Telegraph photographer!

I did it for nearly 20 years without a reflective vest and with my trusty Nikon F2s and managed not to get hit. Why present errant drivers with a perfect target? Does that mean the taxpayers are going to have to fund vests for journalists?

Wow, F2's. I used to shoot the F4's and the FM2's. Photographers coming out of school these days must think those cameras were invented right after the wheel!

Our company, The Telegraph, purchased the vests for our four photographers on staff, and a couple for use by the reporters. Taxpayers didn't fund our's, but if other state or federal employees are now required to wear them, it's at the taxpayers' expense. I think most of those workers are already wearing them on the roads.

If those vests will save only one life then it is OK to wear them.

I'm sure if you were responsible for insuring the workforce, you'd want to protect their a$$es and your own lol

As government is funding these vests , so obviously they are using tax money . But i think it's a positive move towards safety.

Her uniform looks like a uniform for a traffic enforcer in our country, LOL garbage picker well she is too pretty for that job. Are you serious Telegraph photographers would actually wear those?
