I'm sure that over time, weather and use have does its work.

&lt;br&gt;I lived for a few years in Fairfax County, VA where there were homes that had evidence of residents having hidden Confederate soldiers in their attics etc. while the Union Army was just outside on the streets.   In one home, there were dark stained names written on an attic wall, which later was determined that the names had been written in blood.
